Micaela B. Powell, D.O.
Dr. Micaela Becerra Powell is a board-certified pediatrician serving the rural community of Buckeye, Arizona. With several years of experience and a passion for providing dedicated, state-of-the-art pediatric care, Dr. Powell is more than pleased to have found the community of Buckeye to help young patients.
Although born in California, Dr. Powell spent much of her childhood in Guadalajara, Mexico, where her family is originally from. She returned to the US for her final semester of high school. After graduation, Dr. Powell completed an Associate's degree in Histotechnician Technology and worked temporarily in a lab while preparing to begin her medical education.
She later enrolled into the Pre-Med program at the University of Tulsa, where she pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, until she received early acceptance into the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Center for Health Sciences. After graduating, Dr. Powell completed her Pediatric residency training at the University of Oklahoma.
Before beginning her own practice, Dr. Powell provided comprehensive pediatric care at multi-specialty practice and hospital settings in Arizona and California. Her diverse experiences have provided her with extensive skills and knowledge in pediatric care.
Actively involved in the medical community, Dr. Powell is a member of several professional organizations, including:
